2026 - 2027 Winter Skating Season
The City of Corning Parks and Recreation Department is currently finalizing its Winter Programming Schedule for the Nasser Civic Center Ice Rink. Below is an overview of programming you can expect to see for the 2026 - 2027 Winter Rink Season.
Group Ice Skating Lessons - We offer ice skating lessons for all ages and ability levels. Each Lesson Session will include 30 minutes of instruction in a group setting. Students are placed in classes according to skill level. Instructors will track progress on skill cards that will be kept at the rink until a student moves on to the next level. A fee is charged per-lesson and includes the use of rental skates if needed.
Youth Hockey - Our youth hockey program focuses on skating, skills development and FUN! We use trained coaches and skating instructors to work with the children. The purpose of the program is to introduce youngsters to the thrilling sport of ice hockey! We teach skating, game fundamentals, and hockey skills such as stick handling, passing, and shooting. Our Program covers boys and girls ages 4 - 16 years old.
General Public Skating Sessions - Theses sessions are open to all ages
Family & Adult Skating Sessions - Children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Theses sessions tend to be quieter than busy public skating sessions on weekends and are highly recommended for families with small children.
Private Use Rink Rentals - The rink is available to rent for private use for hockey, broom ball, skating parties for birthdays, school & church groups skating, etc. Different slots are available each week. Skates are included in all rink rentals.
Stick and Puck Time - Geared for hockey oriented individuals looking to spend some time on the ice. Helmet, hockey gloves, mouth guards, shin guards and elbow pads required.
Adult Drop-in Hockey - Open to individuals 15 and older.
